One can don a helmet and enter the tunnels, with assurance that today there is little risk. We took the funicular over Passo Falzarego to the refuge, and hiked all day over bare rock, past a memorial with a cross and a munitions shell inscribed to Jesus. I was content to watch the sun go down. |
